What is Information Technology?

If you want to learn something , first trying to find out Why we need learn that? ඕනෙ නැත්නම් මොකටද ඉගෙනගන්නෙ?   Its up to you to find an answer.


Definition of IT - The branch of engineering that deals with the use of computers and telecommunication to retrieve and store and transmit information.


Information Technology spans a wide variety of areas such as processes , computer hardware, computer software, programming languages, multimedia etc..
The diagram below illustrates  the six main topic areas of the Information Technology. 

In future I'll explain you these areas in details. This is just an Introduction.
